Calif. Court OKs Nordstrom's $9M Commissions Deal

Law360, New York (July 8, 2010, 7:57 PM EDT) -- A California appeals court has upheld Nordstrom Inc.’s $9 million settlement to resolve two class actions alleging its policy of paying net sales commissions to sales employees violated state labor rules.

The California Court of Appeal for the Fourth Appellate District shot down one class member’s objection to the 2009 deal and agreed with the lower court’s ruling that the settlement was “fair, adequate and reasonable,” according to an order published Wednesday.
