Qualcomm Wireless Document IP Suit Nixed Again

Law360, New York (July 16, 2010, 1:47 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has again dismissed a suit accusing Qualcomm Inc. and five other companies of infringing a patent for sending documents wirelessly from vehicles, ruling that the amended pleadings failed to plausibly state a claim.

Judge Sandra S. Beckwith of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio on Thursday threw out R&L Carriers Inc.'s infringement claims against Affiliated Computer Services Inc., DriverTech LLC, Intermec Technologies Corp., Microdea Inc., PeopleNet Communications Corp. and Qualcomm.
