Pokemon Attacks Card Guide Publisher Over IP

Law360, New York (July 19, 2010, 11:51 AM EDT) -- The Pokemon Co. International Inc., licensing arm of the cartoon franchise, has accused trading card price guide publisher Beckett Media LLC of committing copyright infringement through its Pokemon card price guides.

Pokemon filed suit Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, claiming that Beckett promised to cease publication of its Pokemon guides after being notified of the alleged infringement, but has continued to publish the guides.
