BP Investor Suit Seeks Damages From '05 Onward

Law360, New York (July 20, 2010, 7:26 PM EDT) -- BP PLC has been hit with a proposed securities class action seeking damages for investors stretching back to 2005, when the plaintiff claims the oil and gas giant first began touting its drilling efforts in the Gulf of Mexico.

The Oklahoma Police Pension & Retirement System filed suit Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana on behalf of all investors who purchased American Depository Shares of BP from June 30, 2005, to June 1, 2010.
