Sprint Dropped From Cell Phone Locator Patent Spat

Law360, New York (July 21, 2010, 5:02 PM EDT) -- Sprint Spectrum LP has become the latest defendant to exit Tendler Cellular of Texas LLC's suit accusing several major cell phone carriers of infringing a patent for a system to identify the location of a wireless caller through 911 services.

Judge Leonard Davis of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Tuesday approved the parties' stipulated motion for dismissal with prejudice of all claims and counterclaims between them.
