US To Target N. Korea With New Sanctions

Law360, New York (July 21, 2010, 11:47 AM EDT) -- The U.S. reportedly plans to hit North Korea with more economic sanctions targeting counterfeiting, money laundering and other illegal tools that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said the North Korean government uses to stay in power.

Clinton announced the new measures Wednesday during a visit to the demilitarized zone with Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates after meeting with South Korean officials, the New York Times reported Wednesday.
