Boehringer Hit With New OT Action Over Sales Reps

Law360, New York (July 22, 2010, 12:41 PM EDT) -- On the heels of an appeals court ruling that drug sales representatives aren't exempt from overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act, Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals Inc. is facing another putative class action alleging it failed to pay employees overtime.

The six-page complaint, filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, alleges that named plaintiff Marta Lopez-Lima did not receive overtime pay when she worked for the drugmaker from February 2005 to October 2009.
