Nike Strips Claims From Jordan Licensing Fight

Law360, New York (July 22, 2010, 12:32 PM EDT) -- A judge has cut Lanham Act and other claims from SportsFuzion Inc.'s suit alleging Nike Inc. and the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame conspired to prevent it from selling apparel and footwear related to Michael Jordan's upcoming induction.

Judge William G. Young in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts on Wednesday also granted Nike's motion for summary judgment on a portion of SportsFuzion's Massachusetts state law claim relating to copyright and trademark infringement.
