Fight For Winnie The Pooh Continues

Law360, New York (February 8, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Continuing a drawn-out squabble, Stephen Slesinger Inc. has petitioned the U.S. Patent Office to terminate Walt Disney Co.’s trademark on beloved children’s character Winnie the Pooh.

Disney fired back on Wednesday, stating in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that Slesinger’s request is a repeat of its claims in a separate suit between the two companies, according to news reports.
