Still No Duties For Some Chinese Laminated Sacks

Law360, New York (July 26, 2010, 3:32 PM EDT) -- U.S. manufacturers of laminated sacks have lost their bid to overturn a finding by the federal government that certain sacks imported from China fall outside anti-dumping and countervailing duty orders because they were printed with only two colors of ink.

Contrary to the assertions of the Laminated Woven Sacks Committee, the decision by the U.S. Department of Commerce was supported by evidence and otherwise in accordance with the law, Judge Nicholas Tsoucalas of the U.S. Court of International Trade ruled Friday.
