Air Cargo MDL Plaintiffs Seek OK Of $5M American Deal

Law360, New York (July 26, 2010, 7:05 PM EDT) -- Plaintiffs in litigation alleging airlines conspired to fix shipping prices are seeking preliminary approval of a $5 million settlement with American Airlines Inc., a deal whose rewards they have been unofficially reaping for more than a year.

In a motion filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, the plaintiffs in the broad-reaching multidistrict litigation said they want official approval of a deal they hammered out with AA and its parent, AMR Corp., in April 2009.
