US Hits Oracle With Fraud Suit Over Software Contract

Law360, New York (July 29, 2010, 5:27 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Justice has intervened and filed a complaint in a False Claims Act suit against Oracle Corp. that accuses the software company of defrauding the government on a contract with the U.S. General Services Administration.

The government lodged its complaint in the case, originally filed by Oracle employee Paul Frascella in 2007, on Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
