Challenging CT Scans In Medical Monitoring Claims

Law360, New York (August 11, 2010, 5:16 PM EDT) -- An Aug. 1 article in the New York Times focused upon injuries to patients from radiation overdoses during CT scans to screen and diagnose stroke and other illnesses as part of a series entitled “The Radiation Boom.”[1]

In February 2010, The Food & Drug Administration Center for Devices and Radiological Health announced an initiative to reduce unnecessary exposures to radiation.[2]

Recent articles in the New England Journal of Medicine warn of the risks of radiation from CT scans and other tests.
