Foreign Claims Clipped From Korean Air Antitrust MDL

Law360, New York (August 3, 2010, 3:50 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has pared down a multidistrict class action accusing Korean Air Lines Co. Ltd. and Asiana Airlines Inc. of fixing the prices of fares between the U.S. and Korea, dismissing claims from passengers who bought tickets for flights originating in Korea.

Judge S. James Otero of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California dropped the so-called Korea-purchase claims from the long-running antitrust litigation Monday, ruling that plaintiffs whose flights started in Korea lacked subject matter jurisdiction to sue in the U.S....
