Tribune Plan Hearing Delayed, Report Made Public

Law360, New York (August 3, 2010, 7:08 PM EDT) -- Tribune Co. creditors on Tuesday won six extra weeks to study a soon-to-be-public independent examiner report that found potential fraud in the 2007 leveraged buyout of the bankrupt media group.

Judge Kevin J. Carey of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware pushed an Aug. 30 approval hearing on the company's controversial reorganization plan to early October, giving creditors more time to review the report ahead of a final vote on the plan.
