AOL Dropped From Electronic Messaging Patent Suit

Law360, New York (August 4, 2010, 3:40 PM EDT) -- America Online Inc. has resolved claims it infringed an electronic messaging patent in a suit Bright Response LLC filed against Internet giants including Google Inc., Yahoo Inc. and Inc.

Magistrate Judge Charles Everingham IV of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Tuesday dismissed with prejudice all claims and counterclaims between Bright Response and AOL regarding Bright Response's patent for an automatic message interpretation and routing system.
