Cuomo Files Suit Over Alleged LCD Price-Fixing

Law360, New York (August 6, 2010, 4:56 PM EDT) -- New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo slapped numerous technology companies, including Hitachi Ltd., Toshiba Corp. and Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., with an antitrust suit Friday over alleged price-fixing for liquid crystal display screens.

According to the lawsuit, which was lodged in the New York County Supreme Court, the defendants were part of a cartel that loomed for about 10 years over the $70 billion market for LCD screens, which are used in televisions, computers and cell phones.
