Ore. Joins NY, Fla. In Suing LCD Cos. For Price-Fixing

Law360, New York (August 11, 2010, 3:05 PM EDT) -- Oregon has joined the likes of New York and Florida by suing a bevy of manufacturers of thin-film transistor liquid crystal display panels, alleging the companies' conspiracy to fix prices cost Oregonians some $103 million.

State Attorney General John Kroger filed the complaint Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon, alleging that AU Optronics Corp., Hitachi Ltd., Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. and a host of other companies schemed to fix LCD panel prices, costing consumers millions.
