Roche Prevails In HPV-Test License Spat

Law360, New York (August 16, 2010, 1:12 PM EDT) -- F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd. has won a decision affirming that it did not violate a cross-licensing agreement with Qiagen Gaithersburg Ltd. for development of the only U.S.-approved test for diagnosing the human papillomavirus.

Judge William Pauley III of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Wednesday affirmed a 2009 arbitration award in favor of Hoffmann-LaRoche in its entirety, including awards of attorneys' fees.
