ITC Opens 337 Probe Into LG Digital TVs

Law360, New York (August 13, 2010, 6:17 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has decided to investigate LG Electronics Inc.'s imports of flat-panel digital televisions, in response to a complaint from Vizio Inc. that the products infringe several of its patents.

The Section 337 probe will focus on South Korea-based LG and its American unit, Englewood Cliffs, N.J.-based LG Electronics USA Inc., the ITC said in a statement Thursday.
