Google Aided Piracy With Ad Deals, Studios Say

Law360, New York (February 15, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A number of major Hollywood studios are in an uproar over Google Inc.’s advertising deals with two Web sites that guided users to illegally download copyright-protected film content.

The studios have accused the popular Internet search engine of benefiting from the sale of pirated films and throwing its support behind suspect Web sites, according to a Wall Street Journal report on Monday.
