Harrah's State Law Action Preempted By FLSA: Judge

Law360, New York (August 18, 2010, 3:13 PM EDT) -- A judge has partially granted Harrah's Las Vegas Inc.'s bid to dismiss a wage-and-hour case brought by a casino dealer, ruling that the plaintiff's federal collective action claim can move forward, but that the Fair Labor Standards Act preempts her proposed state law class action.
