Tribune Co. Accuses Fox Of Trademark Infringement

Law360, New York (February 16, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Media conglomerate Tribune Co. has alleged in a lawsuit that Fox News Network LLC’s new “Red Eye” late night television program infringes the trademarks on its “Redeye” newspaper, a spin-off of the Chicago Tribune.

In a complaint filed Wednesday before the U.S. District Court in Chicago, Tribune said Fox had infringed one trademark for the word “redeye” and another trademark for the word’s design.
