Dell Fails To Compel Arbitration In Defective Laptop Suit

Law360, New York (August 19, 2010, 2:10 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has rejected Dell Inc.'s bid to force a plaintiff who brought a putative class action over allegedly defective laptops to arbitrate his claims on an individual basis.

Judge Joel A. Pisano of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey issued an opinion and order Wednesday denying Dell's motion to compel arbitration and stay Raheel Ahmad Khan's claims.
