Bret Michaels Sues Promoter Over Axed Concert

Law360, New York (August 19, 2010, 3:34 PM EDT) -- Rock star Bret Michaels is demanding $5 million from a concert promoter who allegedly canceled a scheduled concert in upstate New York and blamed the musician's appearance on the television show “America's Got Talent" for the cancellation.

Michaels and his production company, Last Child Productions Inc., filed suit Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York, accusing concert promoter Michael S. Banks and his company Aloha Events LLC of breach of contract and defamation.
