6th Circ. Affirms NCAA's Win In Lacrosse Antitrust Suit

Law360, New York (August 24, 2010, 2:18 PM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has upheld the dismissal of lacrosse equipment maker Warrior Sports Inc.'s $30 million antitrust suit against the National Collegiate Athletic Association over the organization's changes to what it considers acceptable lacrosse stick dimensions.

In a ruling Friday, a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit found that the NCAA's guidelines actually increased competition among stick manufacturers, despite the Sherman Act claims made by Warrior and Athlete's Connection Inc. in a 2008 complaint.
