Jury Rules For EarthLink In Patent Suit

Law360 (February 20, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- In a victory for EarthLink Inc., a federal jury has ruled that patents asserted against the Internet service provider by patent-holding company Inline Connection Corp. are invalid and not infringed.

The verdict was handed down on Feb. 15 in Delaware District Court in Wilmington, where Inline hit EarthLink and rival Time Warner Inc. with separate patent infringement lawsuits in 2002.
