Accountants Not Liable In DeNiro Restaurant Suit: Court

Law360, New York (August 26, 2010, 1:41 PM EDT) -- A California appeals court has held that an accounting firm that worked for Robert DeNiro, Ridley Scott and Harvey Weinstein’s Ago Restaurant can not be accused of negligence for allegedly over-reporting the incomes of servers who were forced to pool their tips.

A three-judge panel of the California Appeals Court for the Second Appellate District on Wednesday upheld a lower court ruling that dismissed a suit against accounting firm Gumbiner Savett Inc.
