Apple, Others Sued Over Communications Patents

Law360, New York (August 26, 2010, 5:09 PM EDT) -- A Texas-based company has accused Apple Inc., JPMorgan Chase & Co. and nearly two dozen other finance, communications and technology companies of infringing four patents for computer communications technology that uses simple object access protocol.

Ganas LLC filed suit Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, claiming the defendants violate the patents-in-suit through several products that include operating and software systems, scheduling devices for television services, and online and mobile securities trading systems.
