129% Duty Sticks For Chinese Water Treatment

Law360, New York (August 26, 2010, 12:44 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce has opted to keep in place a 128.94 percent anti-dumping duty levied on imports of potassium permanganate from China.

Revoking the China-wide anti-dumping duty would likely lead to the continuation or recurrence of dumping, the agency said in a notice published Wednesday in the Federal Register.

The U.S. International Trade Commission said Aug. 9 that it had voted unanimously to conduct a five-year sunset review on an expedited basis. Commerce first issued the anti-dumping duty order in 1984.
