Catheter Maker Seeks To Overturn Jury Verdict

Law360, New York (February 21, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A Colorado Springs, Colo.-based medical device manufacturer has asked a federal court to overturn an adverse jury verdict in a patent infringement suit over laser catheters.

Spectranetics Corp. said Tuesday it has fired off a number of post-trial motions with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York in hopes of persuading the judge to throw out the verdict after a jury awarded a prominent New York surgeon, who initiated the suit, with $500,000 in royalties and $150,000 in legal fees.
