Caltrans Official Admits To $1.2M Bid-Rigging Plot

Law360, New York (August 31, 2010, 5:18 PM EDT) -- A California Department of Transportation supervisor pled guilty Tuesday to participating in a five-year contract scheme that swindled the transportation agency out of some $1.2 million.

Clint Gregory, a Caltrans supervisor from Sacramento, Calif., told Judge Lawrence Karlton of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California that he engaged in fraud, bid-rigging and bribery in connection with contracts he helped steer to InfoTek Inc. in exchange for money and gifts, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
