New DOD Rules Step Up Contractor Competition

Law360, New York (September 8, 2010, 4:35 PM EDT) -- A series of internal U.S. Department of Defense rules, including one aimed at making the life cycle of major defense acquisition programs more competitive, went into effect Wednesday, while the agency introduced a new measure to help contracting officers identify personal services contracts.

The final rules, all of which amend the Defense Acquisition Regulations System, were published in the Federal Register.
