Dunkin' Donuts Hits Fla. Shops With IP, Contract Suit

Law360, New York (September 10, 2010, 12:32 PM EDT) -- Several Dunkin' Brands units have sued Miami-area Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin-Robbins franchisees for continuing to operate shops despite missed fee payments, alleging breach of contract, trademark infringement and unfair competition.

Dunkin' Donuts Franchising LLC, the franchising arm of Dunkin' Brands, filed suit Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, targeting eight entities that operate 11 shops in Miami, Doral, Homestead, and North Miami Beach, Fla.
