Green Groups Sue EPA Over Air Quality Standards

Law360, New York (September 10, 2010, 1:10 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has failed to enforce provisions of the Clean Air Act in numerous states, the Sierra Club and WildEarth Guardians have alleged in a new suit.

The complaint, filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, states that the groups seek to compel the EPA to “undertake long-overdue duties” related to state implementation plans for the Clean Air Act.
