Verizon, AT&T, Sprint Sued Over Location Patent

Law360, New York (September 13, 2010, 5:09 PM EDT) -- Guardian Location Systems LLC has slapped Verizon Wireless, AT&T Inc. and Sprint Nextel Corp. with a lawsuit accusing the cell phone giants of infringing a patent for location tracking.

Guardian Location said in a lawsuit filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas that the companies and their affiliates will continue to infringe U.S. Patent Number 7,366,522, titled “Method and system for location tracking,” unless the court stops them.
