United Pilots Sue Union Over Pensions

Law360, New York (February 26, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A group of United Air Lines pilots have filed a class action against their union, accusing it of unfairly allocating their compensation funds and discriminating against older employees.

The Air Line Pilots Association International mishandled its duty to distribute the $550 million Pilots Program that the once-bankrupt United Air Lines Inc. provided after its pension plan was cut, the pilots allege in the complaint, filed Thursday in the District Court for the District of Columbia.
