Class Status Granted In OC Sherriff Spat

Law360 (February 26, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A California district court has granted class action status to a complaint brought against the Orange County Sheriff’s department by a group of deputies seeking to recover unpaid overtime wages.

The U.S. District Court of the Central District of California awarded the lawsuit preliminary certification as a collective action in mid-February, according to the law firm of Castle, Petersen & Krause LLP which, along with attorney Herbert Hafif, is representing the plaintiffs.
