Ericsson Sues Netgear, Others Over Router Patents

Law360, New York (September 15, 2010, 6:45 PM EDT) -- Swedish telecommunications giant Ericsson Inc. has accused Netgear Inc., Gateway Inc. and several other technology companies of violating nine patents that cover Internet routers and other wireless communications systems.

Ericsson filed suit Tuesday in the U.S. Court for the Eastern District of Texas, accusing Netgear, Gateway, D-Link Corp. and Acer Inc. of infringing the patents-in-suit through sale of wireless router components and other products dealing with wireless compliance.
