Unum Wins Dismissal Of Disability Claims Suit

Law360, New York (September 15, 2010, 3:48 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has thrown out a lawsuit alleging Unum Group schemed to terminate disability claims, finding that a 2004 settlement with regulators largely mooted the case and that the plaintiffs otherwise failed to substantiate allegations that the insurer violated the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.
