Egg Farm Knew Of Contamination For Years: Panel

Law360, New York (September 15, 2010, 4:43 PM EDT) -- Laboratory test results show that Wright County Egg knew about dozens instances of salmonella contamination at its farms nearly two years before May's outbreak of the disease forced it to recall millions of eggs, a House committee says.

Environmental samples taken from Wright County's farms in Iowa tested positive for salmonella 426 times between September 2008 July and 2010, according to laboratory test results released Tuesday by House Committee on Energy and Commerce.
