Sony Loses Bid To Toss Suit Over Hi-Def TVs

Law360, New York (September 16, 2010, 7:14 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has refused to dismiss the latest complaint in a proposed class action accusing Sony Electronics Inc. of falsely inflating the high-definition capabilities of a digital television model at the expense of consumers.

Judge Paul D. Borman of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan on Thursday denied motions to dismiss filed by Sony and co-defendant ABC Appliance Inc., a vendor, finding that the lead plaintiff had sufficiently pled his claims.
