Philip Morris Unable To Kick Smokers Out Of MDL

Law360, New York (September 16, 2010, 7:44 PM EDT) -- The federal judge presiding over the multidistrict litigation accusing Philip Morris USA Inc. of fraudulently marketing its “light” cigarettes as less harmful than regular cigarettes has refused to dismiss six plaintiffs from the case on the basis that they kept buying the light products after learning about their health risks.
