Siemens Attorney, Former Exec Plead Guilty To Fraud

Law360, New York (February 28, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A lawyer and former executive of Siemens pled guilty Tuesday to charges of lying to cover up a fraudulent business venture to win a bid at a Chicago hospital.

Daniel Desmond and Ellen Roth will be sentenced in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois later this year.

Roth, a former in-house layer for Siemens Corp., admitted to lying to the Federal Bureau of Investigations in 2004 in connection with the fraud. For his part, Desmond, a former Siemens executive, admitted to lying...
