Phoenix Coyotes Debtors Skirt Trustee Appointment

Law360, New York (September 22, 2010, 6:28 PM EDT) -- Bankrupt National Hockey League team the Phoenix Coyotes successfully dodged a move to assign it a trustee on Wednesday, according to one of the attorneys for the team's debtors-in-possession.

The United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Arizona quashed its own sua sponte motion to impose a trustee or convert the case to a Chapter 7 liquidation, changes the court had worried were necessary because of the debtors' repeated continuance requests, according to court documents.
