P&G Faces Consumer Action Over Align Health Claims

Law360, New York (September 23, 2010, 1:07 PM EDT) -- A California consumer has launched a putative class action accusing Procter & Gamble Co. of falsely claiming to have clinical proof that probiotic supplement Align promotes digestive health.

Align purchaser Dino Rikos filed suit Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, arguing that P&G's advertising and labeling for the supplement misleads consumers into believing the product aids digestive health.
