China Currency Bill Moves Out Of Key House Committee

Law360, New York (September 24, 2010, 12:34 PM EDT) -- A bill that would allow the United States to retaliate against China for keeping the value of its currency artificially low passed out of a key committee in the U.S. House of Representatives Friday.

The House Ways and Means Committee pushed out an amended version of H.R. 2378, or the Currency Reform for Fair Trade Act, that the bill's backers said will pass muster with the World Trade Organization.
