Ellington Heir Tries To Get Hands On Jazz Royalties

Law360, New York (September 23, 2010, 6:05 PM EDT) -- Paul Ellington, son of legendary jazz musician Duke Ellington, is suing EMI Mills Music Inc. for breach of contract, alleging the record label deprived him and his siblings of hundreds of thousands of dollars in royalties to which they were entitled.

Ellington filed the complaint for declaratory judgment, injunctive relief and breach of contract in the Supreme Court of the State of New York on Tuesday.
