FLYi Settles Eight Claims In Bankruptcy Case

Law360, New York (March 1, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- FLYi Inc. has reached agreements with eight different parties to settle a number of claims in its bankruptcy proceedings, according to court papers filed Wednesday.

The bankrupt airline settled claims brought against it by former employees, customers who had lost baggage, and the City of Atlanta, which claimed the airline owed airport fees. FLYi also settled a dispute with the Central Illinois Regional Airport arising from an incident in which a plane hit a snow bank.
