Court Denies Black’s Motion To Block Plea

Law360, New York (March 2, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Despite Conrad Black’s best efforts, a judge has permitted his holding company Ravelston Inc. to plead guilty in the ongoing criminal investigation into accounting fraud at newspaper conglomerate Hollinger Inc.

The Ontario Court of Appeals ruled that it found “no reason to interfere with the thorough and balanced decision” of the lower court that originally denied Black’s motion to block the plea.
